My Family Cat

This is Casey - our family cat. We found her as a kitten, mewing piteously for someone to come rescue her. This is one of the first few photos taken of her - she was about 6 weeks to 2 months at the time. We call it - "Reclining Nude".

Casey is now much bigger and we're lucky if she gives us the time of day. More photos of Casey and other cats here.

My First Post

Dear Reader

After working for more than 15 years, I am finally taking a year out to do my Master's degree. During this year, I've managed to get around to things which I'd been meaning to do for some time :

• Got home before sunset during the working week
• Went for two beach vacations within 6 months
• Cleared out the boxes in my room which had been sitting there for the past 2 years
• Bought a new car
• Took up meditation
• Finally photo-shopped my holiday pictures of two years ago

And now I'm starting this blog! I'm calling it "Taking 5" to celebrate finding the time to do things which keep me happy, healthy and sane.
